The project team from seven partner organizations met in Riga between October 24 – 27, 2019 for the first meeting. The project team discussed the steps of the two year cooperation project DIGIT-AL and planned the first material they aim to be develop together. The Educational Development Center in Riga was hosting the group with hospitality and as well the necessary analogue and digital infrastructure.
The project aims to inspire adult educators and educational providers on how to include the topic of digital transformation of our European society in their courses and curricula and to empower adult learners for understanding and actively co-creating these social, cultural and economical changes.
The next step will be a training in February 2020 to the topic: “Smart City, smart work, smart life? Smart teaching! Tackling digital transformation in adult learning.” Further in 2020, during spring and summer, a reader on the topic digital transformation will be developed and presented at the end of the year.
The project DIGIT-AL is supported by the European Commission as an Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership in the field of Adult Education.
