DARE collaborates with various partners on the international level and advocates for the purposes of non-formal EDC/HRE. The DARE board members represent the network on the working level of several international and European organizations (European Union, Council of Europe, UNESCO and many others).

Council of Europe

DARE closely cooperates with the Youth department and the education section of the Council of Europe. The network itself but also a variety of its member organisations are regaluarly involved in working groups, advisory groups or as experts within the Council of Europe. 

European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights

DARE is a member of the EU Fundamental Rights Agencies’ Fundamental Rights Platform and advocates as one of the very few organizations for educational purposes on Fundamental Rights, Citizenship and Anti-discrimination issues 

Lifelong Learning Platform

DARE is a member of the Lifelong Learning Platform. The Brussels based initiative is pooling all European educational organizations and serves as strategic communication, advocacy and information partner towards the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers.

NECE (Networking European Citizenship Education)

is an initiative for networking citizenship education in Europe. A variety of activities have been developed within its framework to encourage the organisation of contacts, co-operation and synergies in the field of citizenship education. NECE is not an institutionalised network, but a forum that allows the spectrum of stakeholders involved in citizenship education to interact with one another. The initiative´s chief goal is to promote the Europeanisation of citizenship education, and to contribute to the creation of a European general public. NECE is an initiative of the German Federal Agency for Civic Education and supported from several European partners. DARE closely cooperates at the annual thematic NECE conferences.
