From 16 to 19 March 2026, the partners of the Strategic Partnership “Digital Youth Work – Rights sensitive, Accessible, Open and Democratic” and funded by Erasmus+, met at the Partners Bulgaria Foundation in Sofia. Among other things, they worked on the publication of the handbook “More than Go with the Flow”.
The aim of this meeting was to discuss initial findings for the joint advocacy work. This is based on the results and discussions from the multi-stage national Policy Lab processes that have been underway over the past few months.
The Policy Labs are being carried out in all six participating countries as part of the project Digital Youth Work – rights sensitive, open, accessible and democratic (DIYW ROAD). They engage directly with young people to discuss their perspectives on digitality in everyday life, digitalisation and key issues of socio-political change. Depending on the partner, youth work professionals and digital experts are also involved in this process.
The findings of these Policy Labs are then compiled into policy briefs by the DARE network for the European context and by the partner organisations for their respective national contexts.
Another key focus of the meeting was the official launch of the handbook “More than Go with the Flow” in its Bulgarian version, which was presented to a specialist audience from the fields of education and youth work at an event and workshop on 18 March 2026. All six language versions of the handbook will be made available for download on the European resource platform www.competendo.net. The handbook will also be printed in the various languages.

The DIYW ROAD project is a collaboration involving six European education and youth work organisations – coordinated by AdBall with a focus on citizenship education. Its aim is to contribute to more sociopolitical content and awareness in education on digital issues and digitality. Youth work and citizenship education are of central importance in this regard.
