DARE network welcomed the partners in the Project DeCiTeL: Democratic Citizenship Teaching and Learning between 10.03. and 14.03.2026 in Berlin.
During the meeting the partners informed about good practices in the collaboration between non-formal education and teacher training in higher education from Germany and worked at the further development of innovative learning paths.
Furthermore, the partners exchanged about the different paths and about the common principles in creating so called “local learning ecosystems” (LLEs) with different stakeholders in order to bring more citizenship and democracy-related learning into initial and continuous teacher education.
DARE network was represented by Georg Pirker and Nils-Eyk Zimmermann (office of the network and representing the local DARE member Arbeitskreis deutscher Bildungsstätten AdB) and Despina Karakatsani, Board member and representing the DARE member University of Corinth.
