Semifit: Blended Learning, Digital Transformation and Education for Active Citizenship

The third event of our project Semifit took place in Trento (IT) between October 14 and 20, 2019. The event was hosted by the project partner Centro per la Cooperazione Internazionale. Among other topics related to Education for Democratic Citizenship and Human Rights Education between analogue and digital a focus was set on blended learning. Furthermore the educators and researchers discussed how education might tackle the social, cultural, and economical issues related to digitization. The exchange between the educators and educational providers in the Semifit project is supported by the programme Erasmus+.

An international group of participants from research and different parts of non-formal and formal education shared their experience with blended approaches. They explored different learning platforms, but as well discussed the alternatives to standard online courses – any other thoughtful combinations of digital and analogue experience in learning designs.

They shared and assessed different digital tools and methods. In particular they evaluated them in regard to their adequateness and usefulness in the field of Education for Democratic Citizenship/Human Rights Education.
