DARE Partners

DARE collaborates with various partners on the international level and advocates for the purposes of non-formal EDC/HRE. The DARE board members represent the network on the working level of several international and European organizations (European Union, Council of Europe, UNESCO and many others).

Council of Europe:  DARE has guest status at the Intergovernmental Contact Group (ICG) organized by the Council of Europe. This group collects all intergovernmental organizations that deal with EDC/HRE. At the annual meetings there is space to exchange ideas, provide feedback, discuss policy developments and joint activities (see here).

LLLPlatform:  DARE is a member of the Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLPlatform): This Brussels based initiative is pooling all European educational organizations and serves as strategic communication, advocacy and information partner towards the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers.

FRA:  DARE is a member of the EU Fundamental Rights Agencies' Fundamental Rights Platform and advocates as one of the very few organizations for educational purposes on Fundamental Rights, Citizenship and Anti-discrimination issues (see here).

EYC:  DARE is member of the European Youth Centres (EYC) Advisory group on Human Rights Education with Young People and contributes to their strategies, policies etc.

NECE:  NECE (Networking European Citizenship Education) is an initiative for networking citizenship education in Europe. A variety of activities have been developed within its framework to encourage the organisation of contacts, co-operation and synergies in the field of citizenship education. NECE is not an institutionalised network, but a forum that allows the spectrum of stakeholders involved in citizenship education to interact with one another. The initiative´s chief goal is to promote the Europeanisation of citizenship education, and to contribute to the creation of a European general public. NECE is an initiative of the German Federal Agency for Civic Education and supported from several European partners. DARE closely cooperates at the annual thematic NECE conferences (see www.nece.eu).
